Vinyasa Flow
The term Vinyasa refers to the alignment of movement with breath. The Vinyasa is a set of postures, usually plank (Chaturanga Dandasana), downward facing dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana) and upward facing dog (Urhva mukha Svanasana) which flow one into another. Individual poses are then inserted into the Vinyasa to create diversity within the flow. Attention is placed on the breath and the journey between the poses. It is physically challenging, cardiac output increases, it stimulates but when practiced with awareness and intention it also becomes rhythmic and reflective.
Get Stretched
Kit Lauchlan, Canberra Australia
This is using stretching, strengthening and re-patterning to optimise physical and mental functions. Get Stretched targets the muscle groups that limit flexibility. By contracting/relaxing methods these muscles are strengthened or loosened to increase range of movement. It is used from rehabilitation of common physical problems, like neck and back pain through to athletic performance and enhancement.
