Beyond Teacher Training

Schedule:

Techniques and Practice: 

  • Correct placement of the body, vital sites and fulcrum of movement    
  • The ‘how to do’ aspects of a pose
  • Recognising energy lines within a pose

These aspects help you correct movement and so improve your health.

 

Teaching Methodology:                                                                

  • Terminology of actions                                                              
  • Teaching a Led Practice
  • The art of observing                                                                         

As a result of knowing terminology you learn what actions are required.  Finally, knowing how and what to observe is very relevant to how you teach. 

 

Anatomy and Physiology:

  • Physiological Energies – the Heart and Lung

Learn the benefits of supported poses.  In addition, as practicing Pranayama increases your lung capacity breathing improves.

 

Yoga Philosophy:

  • The Threefold Quest of Yoga 
  • The 7 major Chakras

The Iyengar perspective of the 3 stages of yoga. The Seven Major Chakras, especially how they can enhance personal understanding.

 

Teacher Training Module

Beyond Teacher Training is based on Mentoring.  It is designed for budding yoga teachers and experienced students. 

It is open to all modalities of yoga. 

So, join me in Beyond Teacher Training to consolidate and to learn more. 

Jan Watson is your facilitator:  I am a senior teacher with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance. But first of all, my passion lies with the Iyengar methodology. Because of its detail, precision and alignment. But most of all for its systematic approach to yoga in general. 

In conclusion:

All Yoga equipment is provided. The cost includes accommodation for 4 nights, 4 evening meals, 4 morning juices, brunch on Sunday. As well as, 30 hours of yoga sessions, Lunches are self catered, so you may bring food and utalize the downstairs kitchen. Or eat in Sanctuary’s restaurant.
