Private Sessions

Private Sessions

It’s a good choice to come along to private sessions. It’s how yoga was originally taught – from guru to student.

Seek advice about an injury or touch up on your personal practice. You can also get a programme for home practice.

Further more, if class times don’t suit or you are busy, have a session at your home and at a time that suits you.

A one on one session:-

  • Basically, it’s personalised attention with adjustments
  • Additionally, instructions are specific to what your body needs
  • The session can certainly be on a theme, for example; back bending or abdominal poses
  • But, also, you can work on a specific area of the body
  • Maybe you have an injury, such as, an issue with your hips or shoulders

What to bring to private sessions:-

  • A towel to put over props or to use as a pillow.
  • A camera, so photos can be taken as a reference
  • A mat and any props you have.

Fee: $120 for 1 hour $65 for 30 min

Yoga Therapy

Although, Yoga therapy is one of the hallmarks of Iyengar Yoga and is something that as teachers, we address through our studies and experience, I was lucky to assist at Medical classes while in India. This was happening concurrently to studying with Gulnaaz Dashti at her Yoga studio, Yoganjali, in Pune.

It was especially enlightening under the knowledgable and watchful eye of Gulnaaz. Further more, to have had the ‘hands on’ experience assisting students with back injuries, breathing problems, knee replacements, menstrual disorders to name but a few, was indeed a great opportunity.

For some of the issues that can be addressed, the web site below explains it beautifully.
